Catholic Schools Week 2013(CSW) (27 January-3 February) is an opportunity for Catholic schools to recommit themselves to strengthening and celebrating their Catholic identity, especially in this Year of Faith.
CSW 2013 offers all associated with Catholic schools in Ireland the opportunity to reflect on the role and work of the school in sharing the gift of faith.
Pope Benedict XVI reminds us that the Year of Faith is a time to ‘rediscover the joy of believing’.
In Catholic schools pupils are encouraged to grow in communion with Christ and with each other. Not alone as individuals but with the help of each other the school community achieves its goal: ‘the fully alive person for self and for others.’
In the power of the Spirit
we pray that for students, teachers and parents alike
our schools may be places of learning and discovery,
places of hope and joy, places of courage and confidence.
places of gratitude and generosity.
places of faith rooted in love. Amen.
