Franciscans Life of Prayer

Dear Friends,

Peace!   It’s been quite a while since I’ve blogged.   Since my last blog we’ve had our Provincial Chapter and the Vocations Office is now in the Franciscan Friary, Friary Lane, Athlone, Co Westmeath.   It’s a beautiful day here in Athlone in the midlands of Ireland and as I gaze out on the Shannon River from my office window I’m reflecting  on our life of prayer and on today’s Gospel where Jesus caught sight of two boats left at the water’s edge by the fishermen now washing their nets.

In our General Constitutions we Friars are reminded “that we have been created in the image of the beloved Son of God, that we are to praise the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit along with all their creatrues;  we are to restore all good things to the Lord God Most High and give Him thanks for everything.

If you would like to become part of our praying fraternity – a fraternity on mission both at home and abroad why not contact me at   brpatofm@hotmail.com.

Many blessings as you continue on your discernment journey.

Fraternally,

Pat
