At present I’m busy organizing the psychological assessments and interviews for four men who have apploied to enter the Franciscans in the Irish Franciscan Province. These men have been discerning their vocation with me for quite a while.
I ask you to remember them in your prayers at this important time in their lives. Vocation discernment is not easy and even after one is accepted one continues to discern. As they continue in what is a long road ahead, but a happy and a very challenging one, for those who are suitable for our way of life I know that they will appreciate your prayers.
I’m hoping that the psychological assessments and interviews will take place towards the end of June.
If these men are accepted into our formation programme they will go to Chilworth near Guildford in England to do their postulancy year, starting in September. On successful comploetion of that year they will return to Ennis, Co Clare to do their novitiate in September 2009.
