What do you want to do?

Dear Friends,

May the Lord give you peace!   Many young men and women today reflect deeply on what God wants of them.  When the question arises “What do I want to do with my life?”  they take it seriously.   Many are afraid to listen to this question and just carry on regardless of how frustrated or disillusioned they might be.   Some remain frustrated for the rest of their lives.  Others ‘LISTEN’ and respond because they believe that there must be more to life than this.

Here are a group of men who have taken that question seriously – “What do I want to do with my life?”   They are now in Formation in the Franciscans.   David, now preparing of his Solemn Profession was in management in the Credit Union, Vincent and Dave are novices.   Vincent was a head chef and Dave was an artist with his own framing business.   Ronan, Richard and Denis are postulants (i.e 1st Years in Franciscan Formation) – Ronan is a Civil Engineer and he worked as a lay voulnteer in El Salvador for four years, Richard worked in the submarine section of the British Navy and Denis was a student.

If you are reflecting deeply on your life and feel there is a call to something different or deeper then perhaps NOW is the time to act.   Don’t leave it too late!!!!!   Most Orders have an age limit and for a lot of Orders that limit is between 21 and 40.   Sometimes there can be a bit of flexibility around this.   That will depend on the Order.

If you think you might be interested in following in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi and becoming part of this group of young men why not contact me at               brpatofm@hotmail.com

God is with you.

Fraternally,

Pat
