Dear Friends,

May the Lord give you peace!   Part of the discernment process with the Franciscans is an invitation to spend some week-ends experiencing our way of life.  Normally this happens after a couple of meetings with the Vocations Director and when both feel that a week-end would be an important next step. Discernment takes time and must be taken gently and prayerfully.   It’s important not to put pressure on something so sacred and special as a persons vocational calling whether it’s to married life, single life, religious life or priesthood.   We are all called to follow Jesus and one way of doing this is by becoming a Franciscan Friar.

If you think you might be interested in finding out more about our way of life and about being part of our next ‘relaxing week-end’ then please do not hesitate to make contact with me.

This week-end was relaxing and enjoyable and I feel all of us, Friars, novices and aspirants have been enriched by the experience.   The week-end will conclude with lunch tomorrow.   Please keep all of us in your prayers.

Many blessings,
