Dear Friends,

Sunday 3rd May is Vocations Sunday 2020 so I invite you to reflect upon this extract from Pope Francis’ message for Vocations Sunday 2020.   This message is for all members of the Church community.   Each and every one of us have a large role to play in the promotion of  the many and varied Christian Vocations but particularly at this time to  encourage men and women to consider becoming a Priest, Brother or Sister:

“On this day in particular, but also in the ordinary pastoral life of our community, I ask the Church to continue to promote vocations.    May she touch the hearts of the faithful and enable each of them to discover with gratitude God’s call in their lives, to find courage to say ‘yes’ to God, to overcome all weariness through faith in Christ, and to make of their lives a song of praise for God, for their brothers and sisters, and for the whole world.   May the Virgin Mary accompany us and intercede for us.”    Pope Francis (Rome 8th March 2020)

As Vocation Director for the Irish Franciscans I invite you to promote Vocations and to encourage men to consider the ‘Franciscan Way Of Life’.

Many blessings,

Sincerely,

Pat
