The Franciscans friars involved in the ministry of formation within the Custody of the Immaculate Conception in the UK and in the Province of Ireland met for three days recently in the friary at Merchants Quay, Dublin. Their time together was devoted to common reflection and planning.
Both entities have a shared formation programme. At present there are seven men in initial formation for the Order in these islands.
We pray that the Spirit of the Lord will continue to guide them on their Franciscan path and we ask for grace and light for those who are now discerning about joining the Order this August.

enlighten the darkness of my heart
and give me, Lord,
a correct faith, a certain hope,
a perfect charity, sense and knowledge,

Your holy and true command.
