On Sunday 5 August
the Franciscan Family (Sisters, Friars, SFO members) in Ireland
gathers at the the friary Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath
to celebrate the Year of St Clare.
It is 800 years since Clare left her home
on the night of Palm Sunday 1212
to join St Francis and his little group of brothers.
This was the beginning of what was to become the Poor Clare Order.
On this coming Sunday the gathering in Multyfarnham begins at 10.30am.
The day will include prayer, reflection on the charism of St Clare
and the Euchartist, concluding about 5.00pm.
Franciscans of all sorts are very welcome!
