Brother Vincent Finnegan OFM celebrated his Solemn Profession in the ancient friary at Multyfarnham on Saturday 26 August. Many family members and friends joined friars from Ireland, U.K. and Italy for the happy occasion.
This celebration marks Vincent’s final commitment to live the Franciscan life as a Friar Minor of the Province of Ireland. At the heart of the Profession Mass he knelt before the Irish Minister Provincial, Aidan McGrath, and vowed to live the rest of his life as a friar in the service of the Lord and His people.
Brother Vincent, a native of Achill Island, will now return to Rome to continue his theological studies. He will reside at St Isidore College, the Irish Franciscan college in the eternal city.
