Dear Friends,
May the Lord give you peace! In Chapter 1 of Christus Vivit (Christ is Alive) Pope Francis’ Apostolic Exhortation to Young People and the Entire People of God’, the Pope gives some great examples from the Old Testament in Chapter 1 of God’s call to Youth. I recommend that you ponder just this one particular example if you feel that God is calling you to a special vocation in life:
“Samuel was still a young boy, yet the Lord spoke to him. Thanks to the advice of an adult, he opened his heart to hear God’s call; ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’ (I Sam 3: 9-10) As a result, Samuel became a great prophet who intervened at critical moments in the history of the country.”
