In 1981 the friars in America invited Mother Teresa to speak as they celebrated the 800th anniversary of the birth of St Francis.
They never really hoped she would say yes.
She did say yes. And when Mother Teresa spoke she went to the depth of Francis’ life and message
– living in freedom so as to receive love and to give love.
