The joy of being brothers in the Lord! Some 90 friars, including our two brothers from Zimbabwe representing the Custody of the Good Shepherd, gathered at our Provincial Chapter in Gormanston College (29 June – 4 July) to reflect on their call to be ‘missionary disciples’. Together during the week they shared in the joy of the Gospel!
Our Minister General, Michael Perry OFM, joined the Irish friars for a time during our week. He inspired the brothers with his words on the Order’s call to mission, to reach out to the world with courage – sharing the Gospel of Joy. He is pictured with our Minister Provincial, Hugh McKenna (on the right).
During the Chapter the friars elected four members of the Provincial Council.The photos shows Pat Younge, Pádraig Breheny, Kieran Cronin (Vicar Provincial), Hugh McKenna, (Minister Provincial), Liam Kelly, and Pat Lynch.
May the Lord’s Spirit guide them as they serve their brothers.
