Being interveiwed at the Vocations Stand
Dear Friends,
May the Lord give you peace! They say it pays to advertise and of course this also applies to Vocations. Last week I spent a couple of days at the Vocations Ireland Stand at the Higher Options Careers Fair at the RDS in Dublin where thousands of young Leaving Certificate Students, together with some 5th Years and Transition Years spent hours visiting the various stands. Many came and spoke to us. This age group is probably too young to enter seminaries or Religious Orders but I think it’s good that we be there to show the alternative options and perhaps at a later stage of their lives when finished college and or a trade they might give priesthood or religious life some thought.
This week I hope to spend from Tuesday through Thursday at the Vocations Ireland Stand at the Ploughing Championships at Ratheniska, Stradbally, Co Laois so if you are there please come and speak to me. I will be at Block 1, Row 29, Stand 502, Unit 1. Vocations Ministry is not all about getting vocations but of course if a Vocation comes my way at such an event as the Ploughing Championships wouldn’t that be wonderful? I believe it just great to be there among the people of God.
Enjoy if you are there.
Many blessings,
Fraternally,
Pat
