Many friars and members of the Franciscan Family in Ireland
joined the nearly 30,000 who gathered in Dublin city centre
on Saturday 19 January.
As the Irish government prepares abortion legislation
people wanted their voices heard.
The candle-lit vigil heard from various people
including women wounded by abortion.
The gathering was preceeded by an hour of silent prayer
led by the Archbishop Martin of Dublin
in St Andrew’s Church.
