Dear Friends,

May the Lord give you peace.   The ‘Vocations Ministry’ is exciting and challenging.   The most interesting and rewarding aspect of this ministry is meeting the many great men who make contact with me and who feel called by God to follow Jesus, the ‘Franciscan Way’.   One of the most difficult things for a man to do is to make contact with a vocations director regarding his vocational discernment so a major part of my ministry is giving these men time and just listening to their story.ballincollig 8th may 002   Together with the Power of the Holy Spirit we can generally decide after a number of meetings whether or not the man discerning ought to continue to follow his dream to follow on the Franciscan path or to discern other ways to live out his Christian Vocation.

Another aspect of my ministry is being ‘Present’ in the marketplace, in shopping centres and third level colleges.   This year I attended a Careers Fair for students of Donegal Secondary Schools in a Hotel in Ballybofey, Co Donegal.  I also attended the Higher Options Fair at the RDS and just recently I spent three days at the Ploughing Championships in Athy meeting some very interesting people.

If you would like to make contact with me at any time please do not hesitate to do so.   My e.mail address is

God bless you.   I encourage you to pray that the Lord will guide you in the best way for you to live out your Christian vocation.
