A joyful celebration took place in the Franciscan Friary, Ennis on 31st May when local friar, Ian Cunningham OFM was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Fintan Monahan.

Ian is a member of the Franciscan fraternity in the Abbey, Galway city. He served as a deacon in the Cathedral parish, an opportunity he much appreciated and was warmly welcomed by the people.
