At the moment we are in the middle of a 3 year course on the New Testament called “The Seven Signs” looking specifically at Gospel of John while also taking an in depth look at both the Creed, the Sacraments and prayer – what we profess and live by as Christians.
This is an experiential course involving the whole person.
We endeavour to speak into your experiences and invite honest feedback from your own experiences. By doing this we evangelize each other, build up real Christian Community and encourage each other towards intentional discipleship.
Everyone on this course is also strongly encouraged to attend our weekend retreats and one day pilgrimages, if they can, in order to truly deepen our relationship with God and grow in maturity as a Christians.
Previous to this we completed an 18 month long course called “The 10 Words”, taking an existential look at the 10 Commandments through the words of Jesus. The 10 Commandments were gives as rules for living right relationship in front of God. We used passages from the New Testament to highlight how Jesus came to fulfil each of the commandments .
In the Seven Signs we are now looking at how Jesus fulfils the commandments/law through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
You are welcome to join these sessions/retreats/pilgrimages at any time and come and go as you please. People join all the time at different stages and you don’t have to be there from the start.
In “Lectio Divina we take the chance to look at the following Sundays Gospel reading through a series of stages such as Lectio (reading), Meditatio (meditation) and Oratio (prayer). After the meeting the stages of Contemplatio (contemplation) and Actio (action) are encouraged to be fulfilled alone by the participant in anticipation of Sunday mass. This course is blended so you can join us in house or online, which can be convenient for people if they cannot attend in person during the busyness of their working week.
